Department of Karakalpak Linguistics
In 1936, a department was created, uniting teachers of the Karakalpak language and literature. In 1964, an independent department was formed – the department of the Karakalpak language. Its first managers were K. Berdimuratov, A. Esemuratov. In subsequent years, the department was headed by E. Berdimuratov, A. Daulet. From 2012 to the present, the department of Karakalpak linguistics is headed by Doctor of Philology, Professor M. Kudaibergenov.

Currently, 21 teachers work at the department of Karakalpak linguistics. Among them: three doctors of philological sciences, nine candidates of philological sciences and associate professors and nine assistant teachers.
There is a scientific-methodical seminar of teachers working at the department where scientific reports and reports of members of the department, issues of teaching methods of the Karakalpak language are regularly discussed.
Many teachers of the department published monographs, textbooks, manuals, terminological dictionaries. On the pages of scientific journals and national newspapers appear with articles and reviews.

The chair of Karakalpak linguistics plays an important role in the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel. The number of teachers with advanced degrees and titles increased.
The department has close ties with scientists from the Karakalpak branch of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, scientists and teachers of the Nukus State Pedagogical Institute, etc. They exchange literature and scientific works with them.
Teachers of the department have a constant connection with schools, academic lyceums and colleges of the Republic. Its teachers assist them in theoretical questions, in holding meetings, and in Olympiads in Karakalpak language among students. Especially active part of the majority of teachers of the department are in the preparation of programs, textbooks, teaching aids for schools.

Mambetkarim Sarsenbayevich Kudaibergenov, doctor of philological sciences, professor. He was born in 1968, in Chimbay region. In 1992 he graduated from Karakalpak State University. By specialty philologist, teacher of the Karakalpak language and literature. In 1997 he defended his thesis on the topic “Definiteness and uncertainty of nouns in the Karakalpak language”, in 2004 he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic “Morphonological phenomena in the Karakalpak language”. Published more than 100 scientific papers. Among them there are 4 monographs, 7 textbooks, 10 textbooks. Since 2012, he has been working
as the head of the department.
Shamshetdin Nazimovich Abdinazimov, Doctor of Philology, Professor. He was born in 1961, Chimbay region. In 1984 he graduated from Nukus State University. His specialty is philologist, teacher of the Karakalpak language and literature. In 1992 he defended his thesis on the topic “The vocabulary of the epic “Kyrk Kyz”. In 2001 he defended his doctoral thesis on the topic “The language of the work of Berdakh”. Published over 190 scientific papers. Among them there are 4 monographs, 3 textbooks, 10 textbooks. Since 2010, he has been working as a professor in the department of Karakalpak linguistics. Since 2016, he is the Chairman of the Scientific Council for the defense of doctoral dissertations DSc.27.06.2017.Fil.20.01 at Karakalpak State University. “Scientist of the Republic of Karakalpakstan” (2015).
Karlybaeva Gulmira Ermekbaevna, doctor of philological sciences. She was born in 1975 in the city of Nukus. In 1997 she graduated from Karakalpak State University. Her specialty is philologist, teacher of the Karakalpak language and literature. In 2002 she defended her thesis on the topic “Phonetic and morphological features of the work of Ajiniyaz”. She published more than 40 scientific papers, of which 2 textbooks. Since 2016 he has been working as an assistant professor of the department. In 2017 she defended her doctoral thesis on the topic “Semantic and stylistic features of the work of Ajiniyaz”.
Allaniyazova Sharigul, candidate of philological sciences, associate professor. She was born in 1957 in the Kegeyli region. In 1977 she graduated from Nukus State University. And her specialty is philologist, teacher of the Karakalpak language and literature. In 1986 she defended her thesis on “The vocabulary of applied arts of the Karakalpak language.” Published more than 30 scientific papers. Of these, 1 monograph, 2 textbooks, 4 textbooks. Since 2000, Associate Professor of the Department of Linguistics.
Pakhratdinov Kuralbay Ataubaevich, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor. He was born in 1961, Muynak region. In 1983 he graduated from Nukus State University. And her specialty is philologist, teacher of the Karakalpak language and literature.
In 1992 he defended his thesis on the subject “Livestock vocabulary of the Karakalpak language”. Published more than 40 scientific papers. Of these, 20 textbooks. Since 2001, Associate Professor of the Department of Linguistics.
Ainazarova Gulara Bekmuratovna, candidate of philological sciences, associate professor. She was born in 1959, Kegeyli region. In 1982, she graduated from Nukus State University. Her specialty is philologist, teacher of the Karakalpak language and literature. In 2000 she defended her thesis on the topic “Two-component symmetric phraseological units in the Karakalpak language.” She published more than 25 scientific papers which of them are 2 textbooks. Since 2010, she is Associate Professor of the Department of Linguistics.
Dauletova Ulbosyn, candidate of philological sciences, associate professor. She was born in 1958 to the Republic of Turkmenistan. In 1982, she graduated from Nukus State University. And her specialty is philologist, teacher of the Karakalpak language and literature. In 1994 she defended her thesis on the theme “Military vocabulary of the Karakalpak language”. She published more than 15 scientific papers which of them, 3 manuals. Since 2008, she is Associate Professor of the Department of Linguistics.
Ubaidullaev Bakhtiyar Kallibekovich, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor. He was born in 1967, the city of Nukus. In 1991, he graduated from Nukus State University. His specialty is philologist, teacher of the Karakalpak language and literature. In 2006, he defended his thesis on the theme “Pronoun in the works of Karakalpak poets of the nineteenth century.” He published more than 30 scientific papers which of them 2 textbooks. Since 2014, he is Associate Professor of the Department of Linguistics.
Seitnazarova Inzhayim Erzhanovna, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor. She was born in 1969, Takhtakupir region. In 1991 she graduated from Nukus State University. Her specialty is philologist, teacher of the Karakalpak language and literature. In 1997 she defended her thesis on the topic “Phonetic variations of words in the Karakalpak language”. She published more than 50 scientific papers. Of these, 3 textbooks, 5 textbooks. Since 2006, Associate Professor of the Department of Linguistics.
Khozhanov Sharapatdin Baltanyazovich, Phd Ph.D. Born in 1978, Kegeyli district. In 2000 he graduated from Karakalpak University. By specialty Master of Karakalpak language and literature. In 2017, he defended his doctoral dissertation (Phd) on the topic “Antonyms in the Karakalpak language.” Published more than 30 scientific papers. Since 2018 he has been working as a senior lecturer in the department.
Kazakbaeva Anar Tolybayevna, candidate of philological sciences. She was born in 1979 in the Shumanay region. In 2002 he graduated from Karakalpak State University. And her specialty is Master of Linguistics (Karakalpak language). In 2010 she defended her thesis on the topic “Variants of affixes in the Karakalpak language.” She published more than 15 scientific papers. Of these, 1 teaching aid. Doszhanova Gulnaz Daryabaevna, candidate of philological sciences. She was born in 1983, Karauzyak district. In 2004 she graduated from Karakalpak State University. By specialty Master of Linguistics (Karakalpak language). In 2011, she defended her thesis “Semantic and morphological features of the names of household items in the Karakalpak language.” Published more than 20 scientific papers. Since 2013, the senior teacher of the department of linguistics.
And also, the doctor of philological sciences M. Dauletov, the candidate of philological sciences K. Allanazarov worked at the department and conducted lectures for students.
Currently, a senior teacher R. Sadykova, assistants A. Utemisov, D. Seytkysymov, Kh. Atabaev, J. Tanirbergenov, R.Rambergenova and K. Usenova are working at the department.
